FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A traffic accident on the south side of Fremont led to a power outage affecting about 1,300 NIPSCO customers in Steuben County Thursday morning.
No injuries were reported after a car struck a power pole at about 9:30 a.m.
Wires were knocked down and a portion of South Wayne near the railroad tracks in Fremont had to be shut down by police.
NIPSCO’s power outage map on their web site indicates power has been restored.
