QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, Monday Quincy used a 16-6 second quarter to turn in their favor and they went on to defeat Mendon 46-29.
Katie Rathbun led a balanced Quincy attack with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Allison Parshall had 10 points while Hannah Economou grabbed 14 rebounds. Cailyn Cook had five assists and four steals.
The win improved Quincy’s record to 5-8.
Also Monday night, Homer topped Bronson 46-34. Payton Robinson led the Vikings with 12 points. The loss snapped a three game winning streak for the Vikings as their record dropped to 10-3.

—MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL—
Coldwater’s 8th grade A team lost to Marshall 45-18. Alyssa Bach scored five points while Abby Herman had seven rebounds.
The Coldwater 8th Grade White team lost to Marshall 26-20. Joselyn Salto led Coldwater with 10 points,
Coldwater’s 7th Grade A team lost to Marshall 51-20. Mallory Wilber had five points for Coldwater while Jayla Foster had seven rebounds,
The Coldwater 7th grade B team defeated Marshall 29 – 27. Coldwater was led by Lillian Gimenez with 7 points.
The Bronson 8th grade girls basketball team suffered their first loss of the season to Centreville 25 to 20. The Vikings were led offensively by Meagan Lasky and Macy Covey with 6 points each.
The Bronson 7th graders lost 18-6 at Centreville.
The Union City 8th graders won 27-20 at Springport. Kassidy Bishop led Union City with 12 points.
Union City’s 7th grade team lost to Springport 31-22. Emma Dexter led Union City with 13 points.
