PLYMOUTH, MI (WTVB) – In high school gymnastics, Coldwater finished with 121.95 points at the Plymouth Canton Invitational Saturday. Farmington won the 18 team meet followed by Plymouth Canton.
Coldwater’s best event was the floor exercise where they had a total of 33.5 points. Erica Rodgers led Coldwater in floor exercise with a score of 8.75 and in the vault with a 8.35 score. She also had the best all around score for the Cardinals with a total of 30.925.
Kelani Phillip led Coldwater on the uneven bars with a 6.675 score while Brooke Neitzert had a score of 7.675 to lead the Cardinals on the balance beam.
The Cardinal gymnastics team will host Stick It For A Cure to benefit Branch County cancer patients Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m.

Both of the Coldwater varsity bowling teams finished third at the Sturgis Invitational varsity tournament on Sunday. Placing in singles for Coldwater were Alysia Vanwormer who was first with a two game score of 424. Cassidy Wolff was third with a two game score of 403 and Alec Keplinger who was third with a two game score of 439.

Union City’s seventh grade team earned their first win of the season on Friday night as they won at Athens 18-10. Summer Thorpe led Union City with eight points.
