COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Association of REALTORS® (BCAR) held their annual Christmas Party and Live Benefit Auction December 3, 2016, at the Broadway Grille in Coldwater. Through their generosity of Realtors, Affiliates, members, and guests, the BCAR was able to present donations to two different causes.
A $2,000 check was presented to Backpack Buddies spokesperson Andrea Chamberlain of Legg Middle School. Chamberlain told the BCAR that this will be able to provide 571 weekend meals, a two-and-a-half-month supply, to school children in Branch County.
Another $2,000 check was presented to Community Health Center of Branch County Foundation spokesperson Dawn Patrick for the Camp Courage program. Camp Courage is a day-long grief program for children and their adult family members who have experienced the death of a loved one. The donation will be used for educational materials, craft items, snacks and lunches.
