COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It will be more than just another gymnastics meet on Saturday in Coldwater.
The Coldwater High School Gymnastics Team will be hosting their seventh annual “Stick It for a Cure” benefit meet to raise awareness and funding to support cancer patients and survivors in Branch County.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Community Health Center of Branch County Community Cancer Center. Last year’s event helped the Cancer Center buy a new vital signs machine. The team has raised more than $40,000 during the last seven years to benefit local patients.
The goal once again this year is to raise another $10,000. The funds will be used to buy bed spreads and another vitals sign machine to improve patient flows and decrease wait times.
The meet begins at 10:00 a.m. The Silent Auction will close at 2:00 p.m. and the item drawing taking place at 2:30 p.m.
