THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater had six wrestlers advance at the Division 2 individual districts at Three Rivers, Coldwater’s Zach Miller won the 160 pound championship while Sam DeMeester captured the 171 title.
Also advancing to the individual regionals were Zach Gipple (3rd at 215), Hamza Muflihi (3rd at 112), Faheem Abdullah (4th at 125) and Griffin Olmstead (3rd at 160).
Bronson advanced eight to the Individual Regionals which they will host next weekend following the Division Four Individual Districts on Saturday at Cassopolis. Ben Modert won the 103 pound championship while David Erwin won the 171 title.
The other regional qualifiers were Isaac Tappenden (4th-130), Jacob Butters (4th-140), Isaac Robertson (4th-152), Gavin Alger (3rd-160), Chase Gibson (2nd-189), Nathan Caudill (2nd-285).
At the Division 4 individual wrestling districts at Bangor, Nick Collyer and Bradley Russell of Union City advanced to the individual regionals at 103 pounds. Collyer finished second while Russell was third. The Chargers Lane Blowers also advanced to the individual regionals with a fourth place finish at 135 pounds.
