COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was nice while it lasted. The mild February weather we have enjoyed over the last week has come to an end.
A big change in the weather for Saturday as temperatures will be almost 35 degrees colder than on Friday.
The mercury will be in the low 30’s on Saturday, one day after the record was tied for the warmest February day ever in the City of Coldwater.
The Branch County Memorial Airport recorded a high temperature of 67 degrees just after noon which according to www.intellicast.com broke the old record high of 61 degrees set back in 1976.
It was the third record high set in Coldwater since the warm weather moved in a week ago.
Coldwater had high temperatures of 60 degrees or above for six of the past seven days. The only miss was last Monday when the high was 59 degrees.
Friday’s 67 degree high matched the February record for warmth which was previously set in 1930 and 1999.
