AUBURN HILLS, MI (WTVB) – Three Bronson Vikings have advanced to the MHSAA Division Four Individual Wrestling semifinals at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Ben Modert, Chase Gibson and David Erwin all won quarterfinal matches on decisions.
Modert defeated Zach Goss of Vassar 4-2 at 103 pounds.
Gibson won at 189 over Raden Holmes of Reed City 14-8.
Erwin is the top seed at 171 pounds. He defeated Tim Rizor of Leroy on a 13-4 major decision.
Bronson’s Gavin Alger was eliminated with his second defeat at 160 pounds as he lost 6-3 to Zach Betz of Springport.
Coldwater’s Sam DeMeester dropped into the consolation bracket at 171 pounds with a 3-2 loss in the Division Two quarterfinals to Connor Charping of Trenton, who is now 56-1 this season.
