ANGOLA, IN (WTVB0 – An argument in the parking lot of an Angola area store apparently led to gunfire early Thursday morning in Steuben County.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says a person was allegedly shot at while driving on County Road 20 North near 100 East which is just east of Angola.
The victim alleged that he was being pursued by a vehicle following the verbal altercation. The alleged victims vehicle was reportedly struck by at least one shotgun blast.
A suspect, identified as 22 year old Derek Bailey Bryner, was later arrested at his home in Butler, Indiana.
Bryner was booked into the Steuben County Jail on a level five felony charge of criminal recklessness involving a firearm. Bond was set at $5,000.
The incident remains under investigation and additional charges may be sought.
