FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – The slick driving conditions on Monday morning led to a fatal crash in northeastern Steuben County that took the life of a Fremont woman.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says 40-year-old Alicia Christine Treat was on County Road 750 North, east of 700 East just after 8:00 a.m. when she lost control on the snow covered road.
Her 2005 Toyota Matrix then went off the road and struck two trees on the drivers side of the vehicle.
Treat was found dead inside of the vehicle from blunt force trauma. She was wearing a seat belt and the air bags deployed.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the accident.
