COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals finished 1-2 Saturday at their Southern Michigan Bank and Trust Tournament at Lowe and Borden Fields.
The Cardinals lost to Traverse City St. Francis 9-2, defeated Hamilton 9-0 and then lost to tournament champion Traverse City West 4-2.
Bryce Barringer had a two run double against St. Francis. He also collected three hits and scored twice in the win over Hamilton. Kameron Miller and Caleb Letendre both had two hits against Hamilton while Mitchell Duda was the winning pitcher. Cameron Barnes had two hits including a double against Traverse City West while Letendre and Miller both had RBI singles.
The Cardinals are now 3-2. They will play at Comstock tomorrow afternoon before hosting Marshall in the Interstate 8 opener Thursday at Lowe Field. AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB will carry the Thursday twinbill against the Red Hawks starting at 5:30 p.m. following the Evening Journal.
