COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Numerous drug cases involving a local doctor and a Coldwater woman have been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
Branch County Prosecutors have filed a total of five cases against both 42-year-old Dr. Christina Whitaker and co-defendant 41-year-old Gretchen Alldredge.
They were arrested following a Coldwater Police Department investigation into alleged illegal activity involving Adderal, which is an attention deficit disorder drug.
Whitaker is accused of writing prescriptions for the drug to Alldredge. Authorities allege that Alldredge in turn tried to buy the Adderall for Whitaker.
Almost half of the charges they are facing involve trying to obtain prescription drugs by fraud.
Alldredge is facing a total of 18 charges while 16 charges have been filed against Whitaker.
Branch County Circuit Court pre trial conferences have been scheduled for May 22 for Whitaker and May 24, 2017 for Alldredge.
