COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Elder Abuse Prevention Coalition will be sponsoring a community awareness event Wednesday that will discuss steps area seniors can take to prevent themselves from becoming a victim of online fraud. “Don’t Let Fraudsters Put Your Money On The Line” is sponsored by the Branch County Elder Abuse Prevention Coalition.
One of the speakers from the Michigan Attorney General’s Office will focus on phone, mail and e-scams.
The coalition is made up of concerned citizens from the law enforcement, medical and banking communities as well as from senior organizations.
Wednesday’s event will start at 1:00 p.m. and be held at the Community Health Center of Branch County Community Care and Conference Center.
