POTTERVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Bronson won the Potterville Invitational Saturday as they defeated the host school in the finals 11-1. Bronson advanced to the finals with a 12-0 victory over Carson City-Crystal. Brett Sikorski struck out eight in five innings of work to get the win in the finals. Ethan Cossairt had three hits. He along with Brenden Bell and Hudson Wotta all had two RBI’s.
Cossairt struck out eight in four innings of work to get the win against Carson City. Sikorski had two doubles while Bryce Withington and Colin Ransbottom both had two RBI’s. The Vikings are now 10-2.
Coldwater’s junior varsity baseball team won their invitational tournament Saturday as they defeated Fremont in the finals 9-4. They earlier defeated Quincy 13-1 but lost to Sturgis 10-2. The Cardinals won their pool and advanced to the finals on a tiebreaker for giving up the least amount of runs. Quincy also defeated Sturgis 10-5 in pool play.

Taylor Todd had two hits and two RBI’s in the opener. Katie Swafford also had two hits. Katie Newberry, Hannah Economou and Todd all had three RBI’s in the nightcap. Makayla Singer and Zoe Aseltine had two RBI’s. Kelsie Mainstone was the winning pitcher.
