COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of three suspects arrested last winter by the Michigan State Police in a methamphetamine bust at a home on Hawley Street in Quincy was sentenced Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
31-year-old Mary Marcella Legg entered a guilty plea to a charge of maintaining a drug house. In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed two methamphetamine-related counts as well as charge of possession of marijuana.
Legg was given a 180 day jail sentence with 111 days credit for time already served in the County Jail.
She was also placed on probation for two years.
Co-defendants Glen Batten of Kalamazoo and Michael Whitlow of Fremont, Indiana were arrested at the time of the bust. Branch County Court records indicate a trooper had gone to the home to inquiry about a man who was wanted on a warrant.
The 29-year-old Batten was facing two meth related charges after he was accused of having meth in his backpack. Whitlow was charged with being in possession of pseudoephedrine.
