BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In high school baseball Thursday, Bronson improved to 14-2 with a doubleheader sweep of Union City as the Vikings won by scores of 16-1 and 5-4. Kameron Haviland was the winning pitcher in the opener.
The Vikings had to hang on in the nightcap as the Chargers rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh. Brett Sikorski had three hits and three RBI’s in the second game.
Tobey Austin and Grady Kever both had two hits for the Chargers. Union City pitcher Larson Kever struck out six in five innings of the work. Thadd Herman was the winning pitcher for Bronson in the nightcap with Haviland earning the save.

Girls Softball—
Quincy swept a non-conference doubleheader from Brooklyn Columbia Central by scores of 12-4 and 12-8. Winning pitcher Hannah Economou homered in the first game while Victoria Eifrid drove in three runs. Kelsie Mainstone struck out eight to get the win in the nightcap. Mikala Signor had four hits and five RBI’s in the second game.
