COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Where did spring go? Some very cold weather for this time of year has moved in as May gets off to a shivering start after a relatively mild April.
Wind chills throughout the area Tuesday morning dipped into the low to mid 30s.
The average high temperature for the first week of May in Coldwater should be around 65 degrees but the high for Tuesday was only expected to be in the upper 40s.
Temperatures are expected to stay below normal into early next week with highs only in the 50s Thursday through Monday.
To add to the miserable weather, there’s a chance of showers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
You may recall it was warmer this past January and February. For example, the high temperature in Coldwater January 20, 2017 was 60 degrees while the thermometer hit 66 degrees on February 18.
