COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Nearly 25 pounds of unused and old prescription medicines were dropped off last Saturday at four Branch County police agencies as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s 13th annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Program.
Branch County Undersheriff Keith Eichler says the Sheriff’s Department and Coldwater Police both collected 11 pounds of drugs while three pounds were collected by Union City Police and a half pound was collected by Quincy Police.
State Police posts around the State of Michigan collected over 597 pounds of unwanted medicines last Saturday.
