COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Road Commission is asking residents to help them maintain the integrity of the county’s road system by not filling in ditches with any material.
Roadside ditches are a necessity for adequate roadbed and surface drainage.Without roadside ditches, the road bed weakens because of high moisture content. Failure then takes place even under normal legal loads which causes increased deterioration or immediate damage.
