LESLIE, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school softball Saturday, Coldwater finished third at the Leslie Invitational on Saturday. They lost to Onsted in the semifinals 6-5 and then defeated Leslie in the consolation game 6-3.
Darlene Horn had two home runs against Onsted while Carly Duke had two hits. Drue Mullin was the winning pitcher against Leslie. She also had two hits. Coldwater’s record is now 14-8.
Bronson went 2-1 at the Northview Invitational. They defeated East Kentwood 15-5 and Holland 8-2 but lost to Rockford 8-7.
Adyson Lasky and Allie Sikorski were the winning pitchers in the first two games. Aubrey Ballou earned a save against Holland. Lasky had three hits against East Kentwood while Dakota Smith had four RBI’s. Ashton Wronikowski belted two home runs against Holland. Ballou also homered while Payton Robinson had two doubles. Kiera Lasky homered against Rockford.
The Vikings are now 12-7.

At the Quincy Track Invitational, the host Orioles won the boys meet with 220 points followed by Union City with 158, Pittsford with 101 and Bronson with 73. Tekonsha finished sixth. Pittsford won the girls meet with 196 1/2 points followed by Quincy with 159 1/2, Union City with 111 1/2 and Bronson with 90 1/2. Tekonsha was eighth.
Boys meet winners included Gavin Hooker of Union City who won three events. Hooker finished first in the 100, 200 and 400. His teammate Chase Hurley won the 800 and the Chargers won the 800 relay. Quincy winners were Nathan Nohr in the 1600, Jonathan Purvis in the discus and shot put along with Bryce Ruhl in the high jump and long jump. Quincy won the 400, 1600, and 3200 relays. David Frederick of Tekonsha won the 3200.
Quincy’s Jessica Holcomb won three events in the girls meet. She finished first in the 100, 200 and the long jump. Double winners for the Orioles were Gabby Porter in the 1600 and 3200 along with Madelyn Allman in both of the hurdle races. Harmony Harpster of Quincy won the 800. Rachel Wing of Union City finished first in the shot put. Bronson’s Keona Salesman won the 400 and the high jump. Quincy won the 400, 1600 and 3200 relays while Union City won the 800 relay.
