BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Six students who attend Branch County schools are among 16 recipients of the Kellogg Community College Foundation’s Gold Key Scholarship which is the College’s most prestigious scholarship.
The 2017-2018 Gold Key Scholars included Coldwater High School students Lydia AcMoody and Brodi Tobolski, Quincy’s Kelsey Harmon along with Union City’s Brandan Cross, Skyler Herman and Haley McIntosh. Kaylynn White of Quincy, who attends Marshall High School, was also named as a scholarship winner.
Gold Key Scholarships are awarded to incoming full-time freshmen. Recipients are awarded $4,500 each year for up to two academic years to use toward tuition, fees and books.
The criteria includes having a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher, an ACT score of 22 or higher or an SAT of 1030 or higher.
Students must also show leadership experience, community and service activity and involvement in school activities.
