QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In high school track and field Wednesday, Quincy’s boys and girls teams each picked up two wins. In the boys action, Quincy topped Homer 112-24 and Springport 96-41.
Quincy winners were Ryan Gibson in the 100 and 200, Logan Wygant-Wright in the 400, Nathan Nohr in the 1600 and the 3200, Jonathan Purvis in the shot put and discus, Tyler Moore in the pole vault and Bryce Ruhl in the long jump. Quincy swept all four relay races.
Union City hosted Athens and Reading in a Big 8 meet on Wednesday. We have individual results but the final team scores were not provided. Union City winners were Gavin Hooker in the 200, Chad Bruce in both of the hurdle races and Brandan Cross in the discus. Union City won the 400, 800 and 3200 relays.
Girls Track—
Quincy 96, Homer 40; Quincy 75, Springport 62
Madelynn Allman won both of the hurdle races for the Orioles. Other Quincy winners were Emily Hollenbaugh in the high jump and Jessica Holcomb in the long jump. Quincy won the 400, 800 and 3200 relays.

Union City winners were Lillian Bambacht in the 200 and the high jump, Rachel Wing in the shot put and discus and Bracy Swift in the long jump. Union City finished first in the 800 relay.
Boys Golf—
Coldwater finished fourth at the third Interstate 8 Jamboree of the season hosted by Marshall on Wednesday. Coldwater tied Jackson Northwest at 166 but took fourth on the fifth man tiebreaker. Marshall won the event with a score of 155 followed by Lumen Christi and Hastings.
Coldwater was led by Alec Keplinger who shot a 39 followed by Kyle Herman with a 41. Cam Ruge and Austin Butler each had 43’s, Tanner Bowers had a 46 and Cam Bopp rounded out the scoring with a 47. Coldwater’s next action will be this Saturday at the Pennfield Invitational.
