COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The 30th annual Swap Meet and Car Show at the Branch County Fairgrounds in Coldwater is expected to be blessed with perfect weather conditions this weekend. Organizers are hoping the nice weather will allow them to top the 1,169 show cars tat attended last year.
Gates open at 8:00 a.m. this morning. Today’s activities include the Blessing of the Bikes at 12:00 noon, a muffler rap and open header contest at 1:00 p.m. and the cruise through the streets of Coldwater at 4:00 p.m.
The route for the cruise will be north on Jefferson and then west on Chicago before the cars turn right on Marshall. They will then turn left onto Grand and then go north to Bishop. They will go west on Bishop before heading south on Western before turning east on U.S. 12. They will turn right onto Jefferson and head back to the fairgrounds.
The City of Coldwater and Coldwater Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a Swap Meet and Car Show Block Party beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the southwest Four Corners Park downtown.
The gates for the Swap Meet and Car Show will open at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, and the event will wrap up at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon with the Grand Prize drawing.
