ADRIAN, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater girls junior varsity soccer didn’t allow a goal, winning two games and taking the title in the Adrian Maples Invitational Saturday.
The Lady Cards opened the day with a 2-0 victory over Summit Academy. Megan Barnes and Audrey Hall each scored, with an assist for Rayne Snyder.
In the second game, Coldwater beat Adrian 8-0. Elise Leggett had three goals, with single goals for Mitzi Hernadez, Audrey Hall, Emily Fagen, Jalyn Volkmer, and Nicole Adams. Megan Barnes had two assists, with single assists for Abby Thatcher, Madison Fougerousse, and Mitzi Hernandez.
The JV team with travel with the varsity team and play at Hastings Wednesday.
Quincy improved to 9-4-1 with a 3-2 win Saturday at Sturgis. Payton Hines, Ally Parish and Emily Hollenbaugh scored for the Orioles. Hollenbaugh’s goal in the final ten minutes snapped a 2-2 tie.
Quincy will play at Jonesville Monday.
