COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A perfect weather weekend lead to huge attendance of both classic cars and spectators for the 30th Annual Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show at the Branch County Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday.
The two day total for cars and motorcycles at the show was 1,412, with 1,290 of those showing up on Saturday. The Saturday total was a one day record for the show.
It’s estimated that 3,500 spectators came through the gate on Saturday. At one point Saturday the incoming traffic was so heavy at the entrance gate that the line of cars was backed up eastward on Garfield Road, and went all the way to the north on Sprague Street to beyond Sauk Drive.
Hundreds of classic vehicles also participated in the annual Car Cruise through Coldwater late Saturday afternoon.
58th District State Representative Eric Leutheuser presented members of the Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show Committee with a Special Tribute proclamation Saturday, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the event.
More photos and information from the event are available on the Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show Facebook page.
