COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater School Superintendent Terry Boguth said during Monday night’s Board of Education meeting that the proposed 2017-2018 budget will allow the district to add staff members.
A public hearing on the proposed budget for the next school year is scheduled for June 29, 2017.
Boguth said they are looking to add two English as a Second Language positions.
Other staff additions are planned for Legg Middle School as well as at Jefferson Elementary.
There would still be eight sections of kindergarten and nine sections of first graders under terms of the proposed budget. Boguth is recommending the nine sections of first graders stay the same in order to reduce class size.
