STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – In high school baseball Tuesday, the Coldwater boys took their opening game at Sturgis 13-8 , but dropped the nightcap of their doubleheader 9-5.
Kameron Miller was the winning pitcher in the first game. Lucas Santure led the Cardinal offense with three hits including two doubles and four RBI’s.
After winning the opener, the Cardinals scored five in the first inning of the nightcap before Sturgis scored nine unanswered runs including six in the last of the sixth. Collin Torrey had a double and two RBI’s.
The split leaves Coldwater with a 17-15 record.
