COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of five suspects who were arrested in a drug bust at a residence on South Polk Street in Coldwater in October 2016 was sentenced Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
29-year-old Lauren Murdock was given suspended a nine month jail sentence with credit for two days already served and 18 months of probation after she entered a guilty plea to a charge of maintaining a drug house.
Prosecutors dismissed two other charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine as well as habitual offender enhancement in exchange for the guilty plea.
The five suspects were arrested on various drug related charges following a Coldwater Police Department investigation into alleged heroin and methamphetamine activity. They were assisted by the Michigan State Police and the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
