COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – 7th District Republican Congressman Tim Walberg answered written questions for an hour Friday morning before a standing room only audience in the Coldwater City Council chambers.
It was another in a series of “coffee hours” he has held around the district.
Walberg said he was against the Trump Administration’s proposed cut of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and he was confident most of the funds will be restored.
He also wants to get to the bottom of how much influence Russia had on the last election.
Things were calm until the end when some audience members grumbled that their question had not been read.
Walberg again called for the repeal and replacement of Obamacare which led one audience member to mutter, “with what?”
The congressman also said he would not vote to raise the debt ceiling if there was no balanced budget.
