MENDON TOWNSIP, MI (WTVB) – Police are looking for two men after they forced their way into the home of an 82-year-old man in St. Joseph County’s Mendon Township over the holiday weekend and stole several firearms.
Michigan State Police say the incident happened at about 7:00 p.m. Sunday night in the 23000 block of Michigan Avenue.
Troopers say the victim denied entry into the home for the suspects who had come to the door and asked to use the phone.
The suspects then forced their way inside. Both suspects are described as white males. One is said to be about 30 years old, five-foot-nine with a medium build and short brown hair. He may have a small tattoo near his left eye. The other suspect is said to be six-foot-two and middle aged.
They were driving a smaller four door passenger vehicle that is dark in color. Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police at (269)558-0500.
