COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The barricades are up and Coldwater drivers will once again have to get used to a major street project just like last summer’s work on Marshall Street. Work on the Grand and Church Street reconstruction project began last week.
Milbocker & Sons Construction of Allegan, Michigan will be the general contractor on the $1.4 million project.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says the road will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the three month project. Detours have been posted.
Besides the reconstruction of the street, the project will include the replacement of water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer lines. There will also be repairs to the curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
It is hoped the work will be substantially completed by August.
