COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A community forum to provide an update on a proposed $29 million bond resolution and millage request in the Coldwater School District will be held at Lakeland Elementary School Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.
Those who attend will also be able to take a tour of the building.
If voters in the Coldwater district say yes in November, Lakeland Elementary would be replaced by a new 4th and 5th grade building at the site of the current little league diamonds on Western Avenue.
Results of an on line survey are scheduled to be announced during the Thursday forum.
Superintendent Terry Boguth said during last weeks Coldwater School Board meeting that building upgrades were being favored by 60 percent of respondents and that a new elementary building was being favored by at least 65 percent of the survey respondents.
As of last Monday, there had been 350 respondents to the survey.
Of course, the only vote that counts would take place in November if the resolution and millage request make it to the ballot.
