BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school soccer, Coldwater advanced to the district finals for a second straight year, after beating Eaton Rapids 4-1 in the semifinals Thursday.
Malorie Rzepka scored the first of her two goals just 3:10 into the game. Eaton Rapids tied the score at 1-1 about 3 minutes later. Rzepka scored her second goal with 18 minutes to play in the half, assisted by Madison Marsh. Rzepka then assisted on a goal by Bracy Groshko just one minute later.
The Lady Cardinals got their final goal from Olivia Foley, assisted again by Rzepka, with 26 minutes to play in the second half.
Audrey Hall made 10 saves in goal, as Coldwater outshot Eaton Rapids 14-11.
The win improved their record to 6-10-3 overall. They will face Marshall for the second straight year in the district final Saturday at 1:00 p.m., after the Redhawks beat host Harper Creek 5-0 in the other semifinal game.
