COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The last of the Branch County high school graduation ceremonies will take place Sunday afternoon as seniors at Quincy and Coldwater high schools will receive their diplomas.
A total of 92 Quincy High School seniors are part of the Class of 2017. Mike Hoffner, who retired last year as the director of the Branch Area Careers Center, will be the guest speaker during the Quincy commencement which will be at the football field starting at 2:00 p.m.
Commencement at Coldwater High School’s Cardinal Field is scheduled to start at 5:00pm as nearly 200 seniors will graduate.
The gates will open at 4:00 p.m. With temperatures expected to get up to near 90 degrees Sunday afternoon, incoming Coldwater High School freshmen will be providing water to make sure everybody stays hydrated.
In case of inclement weather, the commencement will be moved indoors to the Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
