UNDATED (WTVB) – While all of the Branch County teams were eliminated last week during the baseball and softball districts, some area teams will be playing for regional titles Saturday.
In baseball, Harper Creek travels to the Division Two Regionals at Edwardsburg to face the host Eddies. The winner plays either Vicksburg or Stevensville-Lakeshore in the finals. In Division Three at Napoleon, Homer will face Delton Kellogg with the winner facing Michigan Center or Leslie in the title game.
In Division Four, Centreville will play at Decatur with the winner facing either Kalamazoo Hackett or St. Joseph Lake Michigan Catholic. Meanwhile, at Hudson, Colon will face Concord with the winner playing either Hudson or Battle Creek St. Philip in the finals.
In softball, Parma Western will face DeWitt in the Division Two regionals at Eaton Rapids with the winner getting either Perry or Flint Powers Catholic for the title.
In Division Three at Napoleon, Jonesville plays Saranac with the winner facing either Bath or Napoleon in the finals. In Division Four, Centreville will play at Decatur with the winner facing either Kalamazoo Christian or Three Oaks River Valley. Meanwhile at the Hudson Regionals, Camden-Frontier plays the host Tigers and Mendon will take on North Adams-Jerome.
Saturday’s regional champs all advance to the state quarterfinals on Tuesday.
