COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council passed four resolutions concerning the citys Fiscal Year 2017-2018 budget Monday night.
While it was stated in a memo to the City Council that the budget had a deficit of about $100,000, City Manager Keith Baker said they will be close to breaking even after a couple of adjustments.
The resolutions passed included one that calls for the taxation for the Retirement Fund be set at 1 1/3 mill. The levy is used to fund the retirement costs of city staff. This year’s levy will raise about $390,000.
