COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners voted during their work session Thursday to bring forward to next week’s meeting a pair of staffing requests from the Friend of the Court office and from Branch County Central Dispatch.
The 911 Board voted last week to fill the position that will be available at the end of August with the retirement of longtime dispatcher Cindy Kochendorfer.
She has worked for Branch County Central Dispatch since August 1992.
Kochendorfer is the third longest serving 911 employee behind Director Kurt Spalding and Assistant Director Jean Ratkowski.
The Friend of the Court is looking for an Enforcement Officer after Rhonda Harmon left in May. The State of Michigan funds 66 percent of the salary with the rest of the funds derived from federal incentives and county dollars.
