COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the pending acquisition of the Community Health Center of Branch County by ProMedica which is expected to take place on January 1, 2018, the C.H.C. Board of Trustees is recommending the waiving of bylaws requirement for 2018 board appointments.
Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer Randy DeGroot says they want to waive the requirement of advertising in local newspapers and notifying local civic organizations of board openings within a certain time frame.
The board recommends candidates to the Branch County Board of Commissioners each September for each position whose term of office expires the following December.
DeGroot also reported to the board that Doctor Marsha Beal has signed a letter of intent accepting the family practice position at Union City Medical Center and preceptorship at Family Medicine Clinic.
