COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Shortstop Bryce Barringer was named the Most Valuable Player during the Coldwater Cardinal varsity baseball team’s post season banquet Monday night.
Barringer batted .411 this season to win the team’s Leading Hitter Award and he was also named Most Valuable Defensive Player. Other team awards went to Kameron Miller as the Most Valuable Pitcher, Brent Smoker for the Most Improved Player and Andrew Richar got the Mister Hustle Award.
Miller and Barringer were named to the Interstate 8 All Conference team while Smoker and Richar earned honorable mentions.
Barringer made the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All-District and All-Region teams, while Miller made the All-District team.
Six Cardinals were named Interstate 8 Academic All Conference. They were Miller, Eric Bach, Oliver Winter, Richar, Lucas Santure and Porter Skidmore.
Miller, Bach and Winter were Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-State, All-Region and All-District honorees.
