COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Trustees approved a three year contract with the Branch Intermediate Organization union on Wednesday.
Under terms of the agreement, everyone will get a salary increase of just over 1.1%.
The agreement also added three STEPS to the non-certified salary schedule for paraprofessional staff hired after July 1st, 2010 for positions requiring certifications. This only impacts the vocational education budget.
The deal also calls for the changing of health insurance carriers from Messa to the West Michigan Health Insurance pool. While coverage is retained at a reduced premium, employee deductibles will have to start over.
The board also approved other contracts for administrators, administrative assistants and with Perry Personnel for Truancy Officer William Heffner.
Contracts for certified and early education staff were also approved for the 2017-2018 school year.
