COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – What was left of the Ovid Township Hall has been demolished and all that remains is the foundation slab.
Longardner Excavating wrapped the demolition of the old building last week after it was destroyed in a fire March 1, 2017.
Township Clerk Robbie Omo says an expert for their insurance company needs to examine the foundation.
Dennis Bell of Bryan, Ohio is designing the new township hall and the township board went over preliminary plans during a special meeting on June 19.
Township officials continue to put the pieces back together following the devastating fire which destroyed the township hall that only had been used for 12 years.
A temporary trailer is being used to conduct township business.
Township board meetings were earlier held at the Kinderhook Township Hall.
