UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County’s Union Township was the scene of a two car injury accident Sunday night. The crash happened on Adolph Road, north of Girard Road, around 9:45 p.m.
Michigan State Police say a 17-year old male from Union City was driving one of the vehicles. According to the preliminary report on the collision, the teenager’s car sideswiped the second car, which then ran off the road and struck a tree. State Police say the drivers were alone in their vehicles.
Serious injuries were avoided with no one needing to be transported to the hospital by Life Care Ambulance. Also dispatched to the location south of Union City were the Union City Fire Department and an officer from Union City Village Police.
No names have been released. State Police were at the scene of the crash until nearly midnight with their investigation continuing.
