COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Eight teams from Michigan and Illinois will begin competition Thursday as Coldwater will once again host a Mickey Mantle Regional Baseball Tournament at both Lowe Field and Borden Field.
There will be round robin play in two pools Thursday and Friday.
The host Coldwater Redbirds will face Niles, Illinois at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Lowe Field.
The Redbirds will play the Police Athletic League Incredibles from Detroit on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Borden Field and Michigan College Connect at 7:00 p.m. Friday night at Lowe Field.
The championship game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Lowe Field. The tournament winner will advance to Waterbury, Connecticut.
