COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Marine Patrol is hosting a Boater Appreciation Day Saturday, as a way to thank the community for their support.
Sgt. Josh Vickers from the Marine Patrol says it will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.in a tent behind the Sheriff’s Office and the new Animal Control Shelter that’s under construction.
There will be food and prizes and the patrol boats will be on display.
Lifesaving awards will be presented at 1:00 p.m. to two members of the Marine Patrol and a Michigan Department of Natural Resources conservation officer for their work in an incident last summer on Marble Lake.
