QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – With an August 22 deadline loomng, Village of Quincy officials are hopeful construction around the Quincy Community Schools buildings can be completed before the start of the school year.
Village Manager Eric Zuzga says the early start to the school year in 2017 has led to a sped up timeline for the project, which includes the installation of new water lines, a new water lift station on South Main Street, and repaving of the roads torn up by the work.
The replacement of the oldest existing well in the village is also part of the project, which is primarily being funded by a Michigan Economic Development Corporation $1 million infrastructure grant.
