COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man with a lengthy criminal record was sentenced Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after he entered no contest pleas to being possession of methamphetamine and using a computer to commit a crime as part of a plea agreement.
38-year-old Jason Hursley was ordered to serve 23 months to 10 years on the meth count. He was also given a concurrent sentence of 23 months to seven years on the computer crime.
Authorities say he downloaded child pornography onto his cell phone. Hursley must also register as a sex offender with the State of Michigan.
His sentences will be consecutive to his current parole for a drug related crime almost three years ago.
