COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Area Food Pantry in Coldwater says it has been blessed with summer produce donated by local gardeners and also from the Lakeland Correctional Facility.
One of the Pantry’s day managers is Teri Ann Huffman, and she says besides the on-going support from those harvesting crops, the Pantry continues to need plastic reusable grocery sacks.
You can drop them off at the Pantry on Pierson Street just north of US 12 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Huffman also says they are always looking for help, asking people to consider taking a couple hours of their busy schedules to volunteer to assist at the Pantry. According to Huffman, they have all levels of tasks for volunteers, including clerical, deliveries, warehouse and distribution.
You can contact Terri on Tuesdays for more information by calling (517) 279-0966.
