HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – State Representative Eric Leutheuser says Branch and Hillsdale Counties have benefitted legislation adopted during the first six months of 2017.
He says the key advancements include passing a balanced budget that does not exceed the rate of inflation.
He also noted next year’s budget includes $41 million for the Going Pro skilled trade program along with more money for education and fixing roads and bridges.
Leutheuser points out three companies have announced they are expanding to Branch and Hillsdale Counties so far in 2017.
Key issues he feels need to be worked on include the high cost of automobile insurance in Michigan and addressing the need to improve mental health in the state.
