COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a Letter of Intent from Spire Development of Columbus, Ohio Monday night for the purchase of a portion of the city’s Milnes Plaza parking lot.
This is the first step in a lengthy process for a proposed four story apartment complex behind the former Taylor’s Stationers store.
The main source of discussion before action was taken was parking for the development since there would be spaces for both the public and tenants.
If everything works out, it’s anticipated final action by the Council and a closing of the sale would take place by the end of May 2018.
In other business, the Coldwater City Council approved a bid of just under $85,000 from Quality Asphalt of Homer for this years street maintenance project, they also approved a $10,000 bid from a Pennsylvania college to sell the Fire Department’s 1992 ladder truck, and they approved a request from the Tibbits Opera Foundation and Arts Council for an on premise Class C liquor license.
