COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Bronson man was given a lengthy prison sentence Monday in Branch County Circuit Court for his part in a series of break ins on the east side of Coldwater Lake last December.
20-year-old Brayton James Jennings was given a sentence of between 114 months and 15 years after he entered guilty pleas to three counts of second degree home invasion.
Jennings was given an additional sentence of 40 months to 60 months for violating his probation.
He was originally facing eight counts of second degree home invasion, as well as the same number of counts of conspiracy to commit second degree home invasion.
In exchange for his guilty pleas, prosecutors dropped the remaining counts but Jennings will have to pay over $7,800 in restitution.
